Rules of Engagement
Only vital points are considered fatal. Non vital parts such as arms, hands, and legs are considered wounds that may cause debilitation of full function in in combat action
HIT (1)- raise your weapon above your head and shout “HIT” Do not move and wait for the umpire to signal you to proceed to the safe zone.
HIT (2)- Shout “HIT” then ease off defensive/offensive position and swivel weapon behind back. Walk toward the safe zone.
HIT (3)- Shout “HIT” and lie down on the ground, await instructions from umpire before moving. (Scenario may dictate the carrying of soldiers KIA.)
Upon proceeding to the safe zone, it is recommended to shout “DEAD MAN WALKING” to lessen risk of double jeopardy.
MURPHY’S LAW in full effect.
Ricochets do not apply as hit.
Dead men do not talk.
Wearing of protective equipment such as tactical vests and combat helmets defer instant fatality. The number of hits will be advised by the site director and/or umpire to render the protective gear as ineffective.
Wounded in action may shout ‘MEDIC” but is advised not to communicate while being healed. A maximum of 5 minutes is given to the wounded to have a medic heal the injury. If the allotted time ceases without response or treatment, then the wounded is considered KIA.
An Individual may carry a maximum of 2 bandages for treating wounds. Only One (1) bandage can be used personally, the other would be for the treatment of other wounded individuals.
Last call is always the umpire, any issues should be taken out of the game through mediation – AAR (After Action Report).
Resupply of ammunition, power plants, medical dressing, MRE’s, etc.. Can only be done at designated safe zones or by the umpires signal.
Re-spawn is dictated by the scenario. The umpire will make a count of KIA/WIA of all the parties to ensure a balanced program. The umpire will give the signal to a number of individuals to go back into action with directions.
Safe zones are non- engagement areas. Ensure that weapons are chamber rested and magazines are out. Explosives should be capped and other equipment secured. Any form of violation may cause disciplinary action.
Knife Kill is highly encouraged. There are 2 ways of doing a knife kill. (A) by stealth approach and having direct body contact of the objective and saying “KNIFE KILL”, (B) By securing a rubber knife and lightly hitting the objective.
Listening to communications or tapping from the objective is allowed. In case of emergency transmissions, monitoring is not authorized. Switch to emergency channel will be advised by site director.
Capturing an individual is recommended as dictated by the scenario.
If sides cannot be divided by battle dress uniform. The site director/ umpire will issue arm bands with distinct color to determine the sides.
Any visual on civilian within a radius of 30 meters must be shouted right away. A temporary ceasefire will be issued until the civilian has left the engagement area. Reactivation of the game will be called by the umpire.
Vehicles can be apart of the scenario, whether idle or in running condition. The condition of the vehicles must be examined for leaks and other pollutants that may cause damage to individuals and the environment.
Be courteous to the surrounding environment. Direct attempt to inflict damage to wildlife, flora and fauna within the said premises will be grounds for dismissal from the site.
